Yorick, He Wants to Build Solutions That Promote Peace and Justice

He Wants to Build Solutions That Promote Peace and Justice

Yorick is a junior at Brophy who sees the world as it is and imagines it as it could be. His passion for advocacy, equality, and cross-cultural understanding isn't abstract. It shows up in how he carries himself every day.

“Your tax credit donations matter — to nurture and support the growth of the next generation of leaders.”

At Brophy, Yorick has immersed himself in advocacy and equality work both on and off campus. He's drawn to learning about different cultures and traditions because he believes that understanding others is the foundation of justice. Outside of his coursework and clubs, he loves spending time with friends and trying new foods — small things that keep him connected.

Being a BCF recipient has meant more than tuition, he says. It's meant access to a community that has pushed him to grow, challenged him to think critically, and given him the environment he needed to find his voice.

Next year, Yorick will apply to study International Relations or Political Science, with a long-term goal of entering public service or international policy to help build solutions that promote peace and justice.

About BCF

The Brophy Community Foundation is an Arizona School Tuition Organization that provides tuition assistance to income-qualified families across 37 private schools in the Phoenix area. BCF is funded entirely by Arizona tax credit donations, meaning your gift redirects your existing state tax liability at zero extra cost to you.

Yorick is the kind of student who will spend his career trying to make things better. Your tax credit redirection helped put him on that path, and it can do the same for the next student who needs a door opened.

April 15 is Tax Day. Make your gift today at brophyfoundation.org/give.
