We are thrilled to share incredible news from the BCF family: three of our exceptional interns have been selected as QuestBridge finalists and matched with prestigious universities on full-ride scholarships!
For those unfamiliar with QuestBridge, it's a highly competitive national program that connects outstanding high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds with full four-year scholarships to the nation's top colleges and universities. Being selected as a finalist is an achievement in itself. And matching with a university is truly extraordinary.
Meet Our Finalists:
Bran'nu Brown has earned a full-ride scholarship to Columbia University, making history as the first Loyola Academy scholar to attend an Ivy League institution. A Loyola Academy middle school graduate and current Brophy senior, Bran'nu will pursue a degree in Human Biology at Columbia, with aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer or orthopedist.
Leo Ochoa will be heading to Boston College on a full-ride scholarship. An Alhambra Traditional School graduate and Brophy senior, Leo plans to major in Philosophy with his sights set on a career in law. His hard work and intellectual curiosity have paved the way for an exciting future at this distinguished Jesuit university.
Josue Valdez has matched with the University of Notre Dame, where he'll pursue his education with a full-ride scholarship. A St. John Vianney Catholic School graduate and Brophy senior, Josue will major in English and is considering careers as a lawyer or journalist. His achievement reflects his determination and the bright future that lies ahead.
These three students exemplify the talent, drive, and resilience that make the BCF community so special. We couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments and are excited to watch them thrive as they embark on this next chapter of their academic journey.
