Memo doesn't just benefit from his education — he pays it forward at every opportunity. As a junior at Brophy, he's already one of the most engaged leaders on campus, and he's just getting started.

Memo leads Hermanos Unidos, Brophy's mentorship and community organization for Latino students. He's traveled to Appalachia for Brophy's service week, stood at the Arizona State Capitol to advocate for immigrant families, and now gives back as an intern with BCF itself. His days are full,  by his choice.

"A lot of my time goes into leadership and service because I believe education changed my life," he says, "and I want to help create that same opportunity for others."

Memo has been a BCF recipient since his freshman year. Without that support, he says, none of it would have been possible.  Not the advocacy, not the mentorship, not the confidence and voice he's developed along the way. Next year, he'll apply to Loyola Marymount University, the University of Southern California, and other schools, with plans to study Aerospace Engineering.
