We're thrilled to share some exciting news from our BCF community! Leo, one of our dedicated interns, was recognized yesterday as a Fall Distinguished Student at the Class of 2026 at Brophy College Preparatory's awards ceremony!
The Fall Distinguished Student Awards honor seniors who have made a meaningful impact through their leadership, kindness, creativity, and commitment to others. Whether in the classroom, on the field, in clubs, or through retreats and immersions, these students exemplify what it means to truly invest in their community.
Leo has served as a BCF Intern during his Junior and Senior years at Brophy, demonstrating remarkable growth and leadership throughout the program. He consistently shows up for both big and small tasks, representing our internship with warmth, authentic humility, and genuine dedication to being a man for others.
What truly sets Leo apart is how he applies what he's learned beyond our program—he's taken his skills to other nonprofits he works with, including securing a grant for Soles2Souls. Leo is undoubtedly one of the kindest students around, and his impact extends far beyond our organization.
But what made yesterday's ceremony extra special? The incredible show of support from Leo's family and friends! Parents and friends filled the room, many wearing specially made t-shirts to cheer Leo on. It was a beautiful reminder that behind every distinguished student is a community that believes in them.
