BCF Transition Announcement

Dear Friends of the Brophy Community Foundation,

I am pleased to share that Nicole Herden has been appointed the next Executive Director of the Brophy Community Foundation. Nicole will assume this role at the end of March and intends to build upon the extraordinary legacy that has shaped BCF for more than a quarter century.

Nicole brings more than twenty years of nonprofit leadership experience. Most recently, she has served as Executive Director of the Ellen Noël Art Museum in Odessa, Texas, where she worked closely with trustees and donors to guide the organization through a significant period of growth and transition. In that role, and throughout her career, Nicole has led major capital campaign initiatives, initiated development strategies, and successfully stewarded philanthropic partnerships for each of her institutions. Nicole leads with a collaborative spirit, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to expanding access and opportunity, values that are very much at the heart of BCF's own mission.

Nicole and her husband, John Reagan (Brophy class of 2000), were proudly married in Brophy Chapel in 2007. She holds graduate degrees in fine art and art history, as well as a certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice. They have two sons, Sebastian (2 months) and Theodore (2 years), and are excited to return to the Brophy community.

As we prepare to welcome Nicole later this spring, I would like to recognize and thank Dawn Kennedy for her twenty-five years of dedicated service to BCF. Because of Dawn's leadership and passion, BCF has generated more than $100 million in tuition assistance, opening doors for thousands of students at Brophy, Loyola Academy, and schools across our state. The ripple effects of Dawn's work on students, families, and communities will endure for generations.

As BCF enters this next chapter, we do so with deep gratitude for all that has brought us here and real confidence in what lies ahead. Nicole steps into an organization with a strong foundation and a clear sense of purpose, and I look forward to the ways she will further strengthen BCF as it continues to expand access and opportunity. Thank you for being part of this community. We look forward to what's ahead, together.

Gratefully,

Bob Ryan

President
