Second semester started early this year for our interns as we gathered at Faber's Stable on Monday afternoon to reconnect and get everyone on the same page about where we are with fundraising and what our goals look like for the year ahead.
The work session was productive—we dove into our new marketing campaign, which will be led by intern statements and testimonials. Everyone practiced their elevator pitches (always a fun challenge), and you could feel the energy building as we worked through ideas together.
But the best part? We wrapped up with dinner and invited all our past interns who are home on college break to join us. We had alumni from Cornell, Tufts, University of St. Thomas, Loyola Chicago, University of Arizona, ASU, Barrett Honors College, Creighton, Northeastern, and USC all in one room with our current interns.
Watching the connections happen was pretty special. Current interns who are planning to attend some of these schools next year got to meet people who'll be familiar faces on campus. And the alumni? They were reconnecting with each other, swapping stories, and reminding us all why this community matters.
It's always great to gather like this. Here's to another semester of making an impact together.
